Trico Electric is accepting applications for 2014 POWER Grant program | Community Spirit
The focus for the 2014 POWER Grant program offered by Trico Electric Cooperative, Inc., is Food and Basic Needs for Children.
The POWER Grant program is unique, as the employees of Trico are the ‘driving force’ behind the selection process. Each year, Trico’s employees choose the funding focus and a committee of employee volunteers makes the final grants selection.
Tax-exempt organizations that provide food and basic needs programs to children living in Trico’s service are encouraged to apply. Organizations may apply for grants up to $10,000. A total of $40,000 will be given out.
Organizations do not have to be located in Trico’s service area to be eligible; however, the organization must demonstrate that the funds will be used to assist a significant number of children and youth in Trico’s service area.
Grant applications must be received at Trico’s offices by November 1, at 3 p.m. Grants will be evaluated on a competitive basis and awards will be made for a single-year.
POWER Grant guidelines, applications and additional information are available online at www.Trico.coop
Additional information is also available by contacting Romi Carrell Wittman, Director of Communications, email@example.com.
More than $240,000 has been given away by Trico since POWER Grant began in 2008
