Trico Electric, Co-Bank donate $10k to Marana Community Food Bank | Community Spirit
Together Trico Electric Cooperative and Co-Bank have awarded the Marana Community Food Bank a total of $10,000. Trico also awarded the Food Bank $5,000 in POWER Grant funds earlier in the year and Co-Bank matched that amount on September 24. The funds will be used to meet the ever-growing community need for emergency food boxes.
Marana Community Food Bank Executive Director Linda Hampton said in a recent news release, “The Food Bank will turn this donation into nearly $45,000 of food for our clients. We are so thankful to Trico and Co-Bank.”
Community giving is a priority for Trico. As a not-for-profit Member-owned electric cooperative, Trico has a mission and dedication to support the surrounding community. “Hunger continues to be a problem in our area,” said Trico CEO Vin Nitido. “We hope that, with this donation, the Food Bank can assist more people in need.”
