PCDOT hosting Phase 3 open house for Cortaro Road project | Events
The Pima County Department of Transportation (PCDOT) is inviting the community to a Construction Kickoff Open House meeting to discuss upcoming construction of the Cortaro Farms Road/Magee Road corridor from Thornydale Road to Oracle Road.
WHEN: October 10 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; with the presentation starting at 6:15 p.m.
WHERE: St. Mark’s United Methodist Church (1431 W. Magee Road)
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the upcoming construction of the eastern segment of the Cortaro Farms Road/Magee Road corridor (Phase III), which is located between La Cañada Drive and Oracle Road. This is the final phase of this project. Both the central segment (Phase I – Shannon Road to La Cañada Drive) and the western segment (Phase II - Thornydale Road to Shannon Road) have been completed.
This will be an Open House format that includes a short presentation at 6:15 p.m. regarding the upcoming construction activities for Phase III. Following these discussions, staff members will be able to answer any questions and concerns.
Phase III of the project includes: widening of the roadway to four lanes, adding a center median, providing bike lanes and sidewalks, improving drainage, and landscaping, This segment of the project is expected be completed by Spring of 2015.
