Marana Police to host a Citizens Police Academy in August | News
The Marana Police Department is hosting a Citizen Police Academy. The program is designed to promote and enhance citizen understanding and awareness of the role of the Marana Police Officers within the community.
The objective of the course is not to prepare graduates to become police officers, but instead, to instill in citizens a greater knowledge and understanding of the many functions and services provided by your Marana Police Department.
The Citizens Police Academy will meet on Wednesday evenings starting on August 14 through October 30.
Advance registration is required for the Academy, and it is open to any citizen who is at least eighteen (18) years of age. Application deadline is 5 p.m., August 2.
