The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) AZ South Chapter is offering a unique opportunity for design help with your home, office or commercial interior.  ASID Design for Hire  provides professional interior design services at a special rate.

Works by Pima County art class instructors, students to be displayed

The public is invited to see works in jewelry, clay, painting and drawing created by instructors and students in the Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Department's special interest classes at an artists' reception in January.

The artists and their works will be at the Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Department's Northwest Art Center.

The Pima County / Tucson Women’s Commission released the names of the 16 prize winners in the commission’s First Annual Art Competition.

The competition was open to all Pima County girls from grades six through grade 12.

Oro Valley bans fireworks; still legal in Marana

Oro Valley joined the list of communities banning fireworks during high fire season Wednesday night.

"We want to make sure we're responsible to the citizens of Oro Valley," said Mayor Satish Hiremath.

With the town council's 6-to-0 vote, Oro valley added itself to the growing list of those temporarily banning the use of consumer fireworks.

"We live with the Coronado National Forest right behind us, and if one happens to go askew, that's very problematic," Hiremath said.
